A-SPICE: Process Management & Improvement

We integrate A-Spice, a process implementation and evaluation standard used in automative industry for product and system development purposes, with your project processes and through this ensure the maturity level that you aim to reach. What does it actually achieve? It improves the quality and the standards of your systems, enables you to manage complex vehicle systems as well as providing you with the ability to respond to the customer requests quickly and efficiently.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

GAP Analysis and GAP Analysis Report

    • If your project management competencies and maturity are not at a desired level, we conduct GAP Analysis and enlarge upon the similarities, differences and gaps between the existing project management and A-SPICE in the GAP Analysis Report.

Developing Short and Long-term Strategic Objectives

    • Based on the results of the GAP Analysis, we develop short and long-term strategic objectives in order to achieve the desired project maturity levels (CL1, CL2 or CL3).
    • For the organizations that wish to ensure A-SPICE compliance beginning from Level 0, each maturity level takes approximately 1 year (CL1 takes 1 year, CL2 (C1­+C2) takes 2 years, CL3 (CL1 + CL2 + CL3) takes 3 years).

Merging Organizational Processes with A-SPICE

    • We devise an improvement and development plan that will meet the A-Spice integration needs of the organizational processes taht are identified during GAP Analysis.
    • We set up new processes or modify/adapt the existing processes with the help of the development team.

A-SPICE Training

    • We organize regular week-long training events in your organization to create a company-wide A-SPICE culture and to support the internalization of A-SPICE processes (SYS/SWE).

Choosing a Pilot Project and Implementing the New Process

    • The improved and newly-devised processes are implemented in a pilot project.
    • The tools, methods and processes are adapted and experienced during the implementation phase.
    • Status and progress reports are sent regularly to OEM.
    • If possible, Re-engineering in previous projects or existing small-scale projects.
    • Implementing supportive processes

The project management process is always handled as a whole and the earlier any stage (needs, project management, software development, testing, quality control, configuration management) is evaluated and analysed, the sooner the possible errors can be recognised and eliminated. As is well known, the cost of eliminating any error in an automative project increases over time, as the project goes through the next phases.
